Jerry Smith-Guidry

Jerry Smith-Guidry's interest in the connection between the mind and the body began while she was an undergraduate student at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. While there, she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Intrigued by the field, Jerry went on to receive a Master of Science in Psychology and Applied Physiology from Meridian University. She also received a Master of Metaphysical Science degree from the University of Metaphysics. She continues her study as a doctoral candidate in Transpersonal Counseling through the University of Sedona.

Invested in the power of touch, Jerry is state licensed and nationally certified in massage therapy. She has received additional certifications in Prenatal and Infant Massage. She is also a certified Neuromuscular Therapist. In her role as instructor of massage, Jerry emphasizes anatomy, Western technique, and kinesiology.

Although Jerry has studied many styles of yoga, she obtained certification from the Jivamukti Yoga School and the White Lotus Yoga Foundation.  She is currently pursuing certification in Anusara Yoga. She is an experienced registered yoga instructor at the 500 hour level (ERYT500) with the Yoga Alliance. This means that she is able to train other yoga teachers. Her Pilates training is from the Physical Mind Institute, where she received certification as a Pilates Mat Instructor and a Pilates Equipment Instructor.

In all things, Jerry looks to combine the spiritual with the physical. She is an ordained minister of World Congregational Fellowship Church and affiliated with the International Metaphysical Ministry. Her goal is to teach people to come into a conscious realization of the divinity within, and the unity of God and man. She believes that each being's mental states are carried forward into manifestation and become his or her experience through prayer, meditation, and Divine Law.

Of her education, training, and current work, Jerry says, "I know that no one ever stands alone, and therefore, I offer my efforts to my teachers -Sri David Life, Sri Sharon Gannon, Sri Erich Schiffmann, Sri Ganga White, Sri Tracey Rich, Sri Calvin Hebert, and Sri Leslie Windham."
